Burrage, Henry S. (Henry Sweetser), 1837-1926

Henry S. Burrage was born in Fitchburg, Mass., in 1837. He attended Brown University and entered the Union Army a year after his graduation in 1861, eventually obtaining the rank of major. After the war, he attended Newton Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 1867. In 1883 he also received a Doctor of Divinity from Brown. During his life, Rev.
